In a bid to speed up the development of drones in India, a Japan-based Terra Drone corporation- Terra Drone India and Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad has announced on Thursday that they together signed a pact to establish one of its kind center of excellence for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in India.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding or in short MoU, the center will be established at IIT, Hyderabad. Dr. UB Desai, Director at IIT Hyderabad, has stated that they are planning to create a unique educational ecosystem for the students which combines the interactive learning with cutting edge research, strong collaboration with industries and entrepreneurship.
He further added- we are very happy to be associated in drone development. The unmanned aerial vehicles industry is developing at a rapid pace now and contributing to it by incorporating the drones into agriculture, transportation, 5G communication, and artificial intelligence.
Terra Drone Corporation is an organization that is present in more than 20 countries across the globe and is one of the largest producers of industrial drone solutions. The company is at the forefront of the several innovations in the aviation industry, and this includes the promotions in applications of AI technologies in drones and also in providing advisory services to the ongoing project- Flying car in Japan.
Toru Tokushige, CEO of Terra Drone Corporation has stated that the commercial market for drones in India is improving very quickly. The Terra Drone India, part of Terra group, is offering complete sales and service support module for the drone ecosystem in India. Prateek Srivastava, CEO of Terra Drone India has stated that the UAV system in India is evolving rapidly and drones are going to become an integral part of future working environments in several industries.
Terra Drone India will support IIT Hyderabad in conducting workshops, providing internships, seminars, lectures and so many other joint projects.
